Unable to submit an expense/submit button is disabled

If you're finding that the 'Submit' button for your expense or expense report is disabled, it's usually because some mandatory information is missing. This guide will walk you through how to identify and complete those required fields so you can successfully submit your expenses.

To proceed, you need:

  • An active ITILITE account.

Follow these steps:

  • Start by clicking on the Expenses tab to view your list of expenses.


  • Locate the draft expense that needs attention. Expenses with missing mandatory information are typically marked as 'Enrichment pending' or 'Mandatory information missing'. Click on the expense to open its details.


  • Identify any fields marked with an asterisk (*), as these are mandatory. For example, if the end date is missing, select the appropriate date from the calendar.


  • Fill in any other required details, such as the destination for a per diem expense. Once all mandatory fields are completed, click the Update Expense button to save your changes.

NOTE: Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*). These fields must be completed for an expense to be submitted.
PRO-TIP: An expense is considered 'Enrichment pending' if any mandatory fields are missing. It will only become 'Ready to submit' once all required information is provided and saved.
