Unable to find a specific hotel?

If you're having trouble finding a specific hotel on ITILITE, this guide will help you understand common reasons why it might not appear in your search results and how to adjust your search.

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to troubleshoot why a specific hotel might not be appearing in your search results:

  • From the main navigation, click on the Hotels tab to access the hotel search page. Here, you can enter the name of your desired hotel or a location.

If you are unable to find your specific hotel, consider the following common reasons and troubleshooting steps:

  • Check your search input: Hotel vs. Location
When typing a hotel name, the search dropdown may suggest both specific hotels (often with a hotel icon) and general locations (like a city or area). Accidentally selecting a location instead of the specific hotel can lead to a generic search where your hotel might be buried in the results or hidden by other filters. Always aim to select the exact hotel entry from the suggestions.

  • Review your applied filters and company policy
ITILITE offers various filters to refine your hotel search, such as Recommendations, Policy (in-policy options only), Loyalty programs only, Free cancellation, Hotel Chains, Amenities, Distance from search location, Star categories, Guest rating, and Price. Your company's travel policy may also restrict options based on maximum star rating, nightly budget caps, or a list of preferred/blocked hotels. Ensure your filters are not too restrictive and that the hotel is not blocked by your company's policy.

  • Consider if the hotel is sold out
A hotel might not appear if it is sold out for your selected dates and payment preferences. If you search for a specific hotel by name, and it is sold out, it may still appear in your results with a "Sold out" message, indicating that ITILITE has the property listed but no rooms are available for your criteria.

  • Expand your search results
Initially, ITILITE may display a curated list of recommended hotels. If your preferred hotel isn't among these, scroll down to explore more available hotels within your search parameters.

  • Contact ITILITE Support if needed
If, after checking all filters, expanding your search, and confirming the hotel is not sold out, you still cannot find a hotel that you know is available on its own website, please contact ITILITE Support. Our team can investigate further to assist you.

Pro-Tips & Guardrails

NOTE: When searching for a specific hotel, always select the entry with the hotel icon in the search suggestions to ensure you are searching for the property itself, not just a general location.
PRO-TIP: If you're not seeing your desired hotel, try clearing all active filters, disabling "Show recommendations only" or "In-policy options only," and widening your distance radius. The platform is designed to always show active filters and provide options like "Clear Filters" to help you see all available options.

Verification & FAQs

After following these steps, you should be able to either locate your desired hotel or understand why it is not appearing in your search results. If the hotel remains elusive despite these checks, reaching out to ITILITE Support is the next best step.

Q: Why should I select the hotel name instead of the location in the search bar?
A: Selecting the specific hotel name ensures ITILITE searches for that exact property. If you select a general location, the hotel might be hidden by other filters or simply not appear prominently in a broad location search.

Q: What if a hotel is sold out for my dates?
A: If a hotel is sold out for your selected dates and payment type, it might still appear in your search results if you specifically searched for it, but it will be clearly marked with a "Sold out" message.

Q: Can my company's travel policy prevent a hotel from showing up?
A: Yes, your company's policy can restrict hotels based on criteria like star rating, budget, or a list of blocked properties. If a hotel falls outside these guidelines, it may not appear in your search results.

Q: What does "Show recommendations only" mean, and how does it affect my search?
A: This filter curates your search results to show the recommended hotels. If your preferred hotel isn't among these, you should turn off this filter to view the full list of available properties.

Q: What should I do if I still can't find my hotel after trying these steps?
A: If you've tried all the troubleshooting steps and your hotel still doesn't appear, but you know it's available elsewhere, please contact ITILITE Support for further assistance.
